This 3 Day First Aid at Work course is run over three days and includes both theory and practical sessions. The course is accredited to a Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) and valid for 3 Years.

This First Aid at Work Qualification is fully accredited and regulated by Ofqual.

We can deliver this 3 Day course directly in your workplace for a group booking of 6-10 delegates for only £1295.00 +Vat. By arrangement the course can be run on non-consecutive days, for example – one day a week over three weeks. This is a three day course for high risk environments giving the delegate the skills to deal with life threatening conditions such as heart attack until support arrives. The course will give the delegate an understanding of basic life support and major injuries and illnesses.

Who is the 3 Day First Aid at Work Course suitable for:

The course is suitable for those staff that must obtain a First Aid at Work certificate and become a designated first aider in the workplace. Our syllabus is as per Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements for First Aid at Work training courses, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Once qualified, holders of this First Aid at Work certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Course aims of the First Aid at Work training course: This three day course is for high risk environments giving the delegate the skills to deal with life threatening conditions such as heart attack until support arrives. The course will give the delegate an understanding of basic life support and major injuries and illnesses. The course will equip delegates with the knowledge and skills to be able to carry out emergency first aid to a casualty as the first aid responder.

Course content: The course provides learners the knowledge and skills needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. Course content includes:

  • Health and safety (first aid) regulations
  • The role of the first aider
  • Assessing the casualty
  • Recognition and treatment of illness
  • Recovery position
  • CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation)
  • Unconsciousness
  • Bites and stings
  • Wounds and Bleeding (Minor and Severe)
  • Treatment of an unconscious casualty who is breathing
  • Treatment of an unconscious casualty who is not breathing
  • Heart Attack
  • Burns
  • Shock

3 Day First Aid at Work – Assessment and Certification: Assessment for this course is ongoing by the instructor throughout the course. On completion of the training delegates will receive an accredited Certification QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) Valid for 3 Years.
